ISSUES JRM highlighted about the Large number of vacant positions of dedicated staff at State and district level Lack of awareness of medical emergency plan in Sheopur district. Usage of non agmark certified ingredients especially cooking oil. MI reported that MDM served to all the schools of urban Katni through centralized kitchen (Akansha Samagra VikasSamiti) is tasteless when reaching at school. In Indore MDM served to all the schools of urban Indore is through centralized kitchen (Nandi Foundation) is flavorless. In Gwalior the quality of chapattis cooked through machines in centralized kitchen requires to be checked. Low utilization of transport assistance (45%)

Best Practices Mother’s roster has been prepared at school level for monitoring the quality of the meal provided to the school children. Special Treat is provided to the school children on 15th August and 26th January For addressing grievances/ complaints, Nagrik Toll free number is operational. The status of the complaints can be checked at the website Sample of cooked meal is kept in containers for 24 Hrs for the testing in case of any untoward incident happens.
