2 Overview Middle and high school in-school suspension (ISS)
was formally restructured in the fall of 2012 to provide academic and behavioral supports to students assigned to ISS.  This restructuring resulted in the hiring of NC certified teachers as ISS Coordinators who were then trained on curriculum appropriate for ISS as a support for students. Monthly meetings are held to provide ongoing professional development support for all 12 campus coordinators.
