3
Periods of the Mesozoic Era
Triassic Period was years ago Jurassic Period was years ago Cretaceous Period was 144 years ago
4
Major Life Forms During the Triassic Period there were many dinosaurs
Synapids slowly gave way to the Archosaurs(ancestors of Dinosaurs) Dinosaurs evolved in the late Triassic periods (crocodilians & pterosaurs) The earliest discovered Dinosaurs are Herrerasaurus & Eoraphor (Jurassic Period)

Continents Location the continents were joined together as a Pangaea.
The Pangaea split into two continents, Laurasia and Gondwana Laurasia split into North America and Eurasia Gondwana became South America, Africa, Australia, Antarctica, and the India subcontinent

Climate The environment was unusually warm and polar ice caps did not yet exist During the Triassic period the climate was generally dry the Jurassic period as oceans began to rise due to mounting layers of magma covering the seafloor the climate began to cool during the Cretaceous Period
7
How the Era ended The Era ended because of the mass extinction in cretaceous It wiped out 95% of Marine Life and 70% of Land Life
8
Interesting Facts The great extinction eventually wiped out the dinosaurs The extinction wiped out 95% of Marine life including insects Dinosaurs was the rulers of the Earth at the time There was more oxygen produced so this allowed more plant and animals to live during this time
