Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. He had six brothers and six sisters.
He attended school for three months in Port Huron, Michigan.
His mother decided to teach him herself.
Edison loved to read books about chemistry.

He started to become deaf at age twelve.

When Edison was 15, he saved a small boy’s life on the train tracks. The boy’s father offered to teach Edison about telegraphy as a reward for saving the small boy’s life.
