3. Hello: I am pleased to be given the opportunity to speak to you about the non-profit corporation, Hand-a-Heart, Inc. This is an organization that lives to serve others and thrives off the kindness of others. It is an organization with the purpose of easing the lives of suffering children. It benefits a specific kind of child however, one diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. The disease arthritis, found mostly in the adult population, is a source of great physical and emotional pain to the children who contract it. Suffering not only by wounds inflicted to their joints, they must deal with the wounds inflicted to their hearts, the taunts of their classmates ridiculing them for something far beyond their control. I myself experienced this injustice at an early age and hold scars that will never truly heal. FROM START TO FINISH Starting a non-profit corporation is no easy task… and plenty of technology had to be used in this advanced society We started a website, through www.blogger.com, the website is managed by Hand-a-Heart, Inc. officials who can post blogs, update event, post videos and manage the viewing rate of the webpage. www.handaheart.org can also be viewed as a mobile pagewww.blogger.comwww.handaheart.org Our brochures were created through Microsoft publisher through a downloaded template and included word overlay, formatted colors and logos Our logo was created by the Executive Media Director (EMD) Davis L. Hoffman who used the Photoshop program Business cards were created with all necessary information, through AVERY TEMPLATES. A QR code was printed on the business cards that, when scanned takes one directly to our webpage. A Public Service Announcement (PSA) was filmed by the EMD on a Canon T3i and edited through iMovie on Apples Mac All business such as finances, communication, etc. is carried out online or through our email handaheart@gmail.com

5. The Mission Continues Our mission is far from over, for as much as we have accomplished, there is still so much that we can do. Arthritis is a life-long battle for most of the victims and Hand-a-Heart, Inc. plans to be there throughout the battle. I was diagnosed at age thirteen and wish that someone had been looking out for me. I hope this inspire you to reach out to someone in your community. Never hesitate…Hand a Heart
