Magnetic Lasso Tool: The magnetic lasso allows you to make freehand selections of areas with high contrast edges. The border automatically snaps to the edge you are tracing.
Magic Wand Tool: The magic wand tool lets you select parts of an image based on the similarity in color of adjacent pixels.

Lasso Tool: The lasso tool lets you make a freehand selection around an area. Holding the alt key and releasing the mouse temporarily changes the Lasso into the Polygon Lasso tool.
Polygon Lasso Tool: The polygon lasso tool lets you make a straight-line (freehand angular) selection around an area.

Marquee Tool: The marquee tool lets you select a rectangular area in an image. If you hold the Shift key while you drag, you will select a square area.
Elliptical Marquee Tool: The elliptical marquee tool allows you to select an oval area in an image, or a perfect circle if you hold the shift key while you drag. Holding the Alt key will start the selection from the center rather than the corner.

Spot Healing Brush: Removes blemishes and objects

Color Replacement tool: Replaces a selected color with a new color
