Partner 2 Study Results 779 gay couples. One HIV positive and on treatment. One HIV negative. 77,000 acts of condomless sex. Zero transmissions. U=U: If the virus is undetectable, you cannot transmit HIV. #UequalsU

Combination Prevention Programmes
Workshop: HIV elimination is now a reality for gay men: What is working and how do we replicate our successes for all? Significant decreases in new HIV diagnoses amongst gay men in Sydney, London and New York. Key Factors: Increased rates of testing. Co-ordinated and promoted testing campaigns. Earlier treatment access. Availability of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Stakeholder engagement, including clinics and communities. Political leadership at all levels was also highlighted. Combination Knowledge Combination Prevention + = Foundation for ending new HIV diagnoses

HIV outbreaks amongst People who Inject Drugs (PWID)
Poster Exhibition Reference: Des Jarlais et al. Complacency is the new problem: Comparative analysis of recent outbreaks of HIV among persons who inject drugs in Europe and North America. Combination Prevention has worked: needle exchange programmes, opioid substitution therapy, and HIV treatment. HIV outbreaks in Athens, Bucharest, Dublin, Glasgow, Luxembourg, Tel Aviv, Saskatchewan (Canada), and Scott County (Indiana, USA). Conclusions: “Complacency for HIV prevention is emerging as an important threat to the success of combined HIV prevention for PWID.” Maintain it Combination Prevention for people who inject drugs Adapt services in response to changing patterns of drug use Achieve high coverage
