What is DegreeWorks? DegreeWorks helps students meet their completion goals by providing: a comprehensive program evaluation audit showing program requirements progress toward degree completion “what-if” options

What is the Student Educational Planner (SEP)?
An additional module in DegreeWorks Allows students to map out required coursework by semester to complete their degrees in a timely manner Program templates list all required courses, suggested elective courses, and options for students to customize their degrees

Degree Audit = What Degree Audit shows what requirements you have completed SEP = When Student Educational Planner (SEP) shows when courses will be completed

DegreeWorks: Plans To access Student Educational Planner (SEP), click on the Plans tab If your advisor has created a plan for you it will come up in the Calendar view. If you do not have a plan created for you, this page will be blank. Only your advisor has the ability to create a plan or make changes to your plan. If you do not have a plan, contact your advisor for more information.

Plans: Calendar View All Plans must be approved and ‘locked’ by the academic advisor, and any changes to a locked Plan must be approved by the advisor. As you work together with your advisor, your advisor will be able to suggest specific courses using the Student Educational Planner (SEP).

Plans: Audit View Classes you have planned with your advisor show up on the Plans degree audit in blue Student Educational Planner (SEP) shows which requirement the classes will fulfill These courses will only show in the Plans tab and not in the Worksheets tab If there is an option for courses, these choices do not show in SEP (i.e. POL 202 or POL 241)

Plans: Notes The advisor can also add notes at various levels of the audit to remind you of deadlines, elective course options or requirements, etc. Examples: If a course is Writing Intensive, the note will tell you that the course is a Writing Intensive.
