Within a couple days send a thank you and progress .
This simple 10-day Blitz may provide each board member, volunteer, or interested party with an individual opportunity to assist in Give Big.

3. Before you start Always use BCC !!
Review your personal contact list and select potential donors for the Blitz.
Construct a group address list for your blitz campaign.
Develop a control list in order to track your blitz s and record results for each potential donor as contacted.
Always use the BCC address field when sending a broadcast to your contacts.
Remove names from your group address list as donations are received.
Always use BCC !!
Try the Blitz, and you will be amazed by the results!

4. Email 1 – The Original Ask on Day 1, October 21
Don’t forget the ASK! And check your link to make sure it works.

COMPONENTS
1) Why: Share your motivation for being a part of Give Big and what Give Big is.
2) One sentence including one way your organization is helping meet community needs.
3) Your personal fundraising goal and the deadline, i.e., I am trying to raise $1,000 in 10 days.
4) A breakdown of how much you are asking for, i.e., I am sending 100 s, so if each person donated $10, I would reach my goal.
5) The Ask: Would you consider making a donation in the next 10 days to support our organization?
6) How they can respond: Click on the link at the bottom of this . You may add how to mail a check or offer to pick up the check but that’s really not the reason for Give Big.
7) Thank them for their support.

As you may or may not know, I am a member of the Presidents’ Circle of Copper Mountain College Foundation. Recently we have seen that students are coming to class hungry and thus are not able to concentrate on learning. CMC retiree Karen Coghill set about making that right by starting KC Special at our campus’ cafeteria, Bruce’s Place. Any student, any time can walk into Bruce’s and ask for the KC Special and get a bowl of hearty homemade soup free. There is of course a cost to this soup, but the Foundation has committed to raising the money to make sure it remains available to any student, any time. We are participating in the Give Big San Bernardino online giving campaign and I am asking your help to make our giving go viral! I have made a personal commitment to raise $1,000 in the next ten days. I am sending 100 s so if each person donated $10, I would reach my personal goal. It is easy to donate and all donations matter! Click, donate and share: Please donate whatever you can today to help keep our students engaged in learning! 1) An update on your success so far, i.e., $600 in the first four days…I’m on track to meet or exceed my goal! 2) Reiterate your Reason – restate your reason in a shorter version, using different words. 3) An update on your team’s progress, theme, and what they can do to help in other ways, i.e., tell a friend. 4) A repeat ‘soft’ Ask, if you would like to see our progress or make a donation… 5) How they can respond – by clicking, etc. 6) Thank them for their support

Check out the amazing response I have gotten in support of our students and KC Special! You all have certainly been Giving Big. In just 4 days, my generous family and friends have donated over $600 to make sure CMC students are fed and ready for class. That’s some viral giving!! I am always thrilled to see the amazing support this community gives to our local college, just like they did thirty years ago when we broke ground to build Copper Mountain Campus! All year long, the Foundation is committed to supporting the students, programs and facilities of Copper Mountain Community College District and we are able to do that is so many ways…subsidized transportation, KC Special, scholarships, internships, cultural activities and more.
