Goal 2: 80% of my teachers will score a 3 or higher on their end of year Compass ratings. Sample Principal Goals: BEGINNING Goal 1: Current year student achievement, as measured by SPS, will meet or exceed which is an increase of points in overall SPS. Goal 2: Current year student achievement, as measured by the Math Assessment Index, will meet or exceed . Louisiana Believes.

Insufficient Attainment of Target (1 point) Partial Attainment of Target (2 points) Full Attainment of Target (3 points) Exceptional Attainment of Target (4 points) Achievement Range: SPS did not increase. SPS increased from 0.1 to 3.2 points. Index increased from 3.3 to 6.3 points. Index increased more than 6.3 points.

5 Goal 2: Improvement in a Component of the SPS
K-8 Student Achievement Data Component State Average Our School Insufficient Attainment Partial Attainment Full Attainment Exceeds Assessment Index Overall 71.3 ≤ 0.0^ 0.1 – 3.2 3.3 – 6.4 > 6.4 ELA Assessment Index 75.8 0.1 – 2.4^ 2.5 – 4.8 > 4.8 Math Assessment Index 69.4 0.1 – 5.7 5.8 – 11.3 > 11.3 Science Assessment Index 66.8 0.1 – 3.3 3.4 – 6.6 > 6.6 Goal #1: Improve Math Performance – B School Target Statement (based on full attainment) My school will increase our math assessment index by 5.8 points from 60 to 65.8 points. 50% of students in my school will meet their expected growth target on state tests. 1 Should include all of the students in your school that take a state exam. You can divide the grades/subjects up among assistants for one their goals if you would like. Insufficient Attainment of Target (1 point) Partial Attainment of Target (2 points) Full Attainment of Target (3 points) Exceptional Attainment of Target (4 points) Achievement Range: Less than 35% meet their expected growth target. 35% - 49% meet their expected growth target. 50% - 65% meet expected growth target. More than 65% meet expected growth target.

7 TPSS Leader SLT Requirement
All assessment components of the School Performance score must be covered by the administrative team at the school. Growth rate will be determined by grade level of school and LDOE charts. Team approach – we are all in this together.

8 K-8 Example Principal: Goal 1: SPS growth Goal 2: Growth in lowest assessment index from previous year Goal 3: Student Growth Goal – including entire school Assistant Principals/AA Goal 1: assessment index growth by grade and/or subject based on areas of responsibility. Goal 2: assessment index growth by grade and/or subject based on areas of responsibility. Goal 3: student growth goal divided by grade or subjects. All grades and assessment indexes should be covered by the administrative team.

9 High School Example Principals Assistant Principals/AA/Counselors
Goal 1: SPS growth Goal 2: Growth in lowest assessment index (EOC or ACT) Goal 3: Student Growth Goal – ELA and math EOCs. Assistant Principals/AA/Counselors Possible Goals depending on areas of responsibilities: Growth in an assessment index (EOC or ACT) all or parts depending on area of responsibility. (i.e. An assistant who observes and provides support to all of the English teachers could do SLTs on the English II and III EOC.) Graduation Index Graduation Cohort rate Student Growth Goal – divided by subjects

10 Sample Leader Goals Goal 1: The School Performance Score will increase by ______ points from current SPS to goal SPS. Goal 2: The Math Assessment Index will increase by __ points from current index to goal index. Goal 3: 50% of students in my school will meet their expected growth target on state tests.
