Sample Display Board 1.Arrange items from left to right, from top to bottom. 2.Space elements evenly across your layout, to achieve a balanced, consistent look. 3.Use black or dark colors for type. 4.Mount black-and-white text blocks on colored construction paper for contrast. 5.Make type large enough to read from four feet away: 6.Use subheads and bullet points rather than long paragraphs of dense text. 7. Write captions for photos. 8. Proofread and double- and triple-check all text before sticking it on your display board. 9. Avoid clutter.

The conclusions described by the researcher make sense based on the results and they are related back to the hypothesis. The written material reflects the researcher(s) understanding of the research and that understanding can be communicated orally. The components of the scientific process are orally communicated clearly. The data/results and project display are explained clearly. New information has been acquired as a result of the project. The researcher discusses how this project can be revised or expanded in the future. It is evident that the student completed the majority of the work on the project. Don’t be afraid to let the judges know what you learned and share what worked and what didn’t. This is your time to prove you did the work and understand it. The more you talk about what you know, the less time they have to ask questions you may not know! GOOD LUCK
