2 Why DWCPs important and affect TU?
As indecent situations exist. As the lives and livelihood of the people are to be protected assuring equality, security and dignity. As the employment opportunities to be enhanced. As the social harmony and development to be assured. DWCPs are to be promoted to advocate fundamental labour standards (FoA, CB) & social protection.

3 How can TU’s participation be improved?
Improve the Knowledge, Skills & Attitudes of TU activists on Rights and Responsibilities (RBA) Make the members of the TU aware of their rights, responsibilities & importance of participation. Make TU just and democratic to assure proper participation of the members, transparency in decision making and accountability. Coordinate other TU in the sectors. Also at the regional and International levels. Consult the tripartite constituents effectively. Review and evaluate the decision on regular basis and share information with the members.

4 What priorities should be there?
Ratified labour standards as per ILO conventions. Reformed existing labour laws in changed global situation. (e.g. accommodating informal sectors) Build capacities of trade unions (to assure better articulation of rights of the members and coordination). Strengthened tripartite constituents (bodies) to assure effective and efficient problem identification, prioritization, objective setting, implementation, M&E Enhanced more and better jobs specially for disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Inbuilt cross-cutting themes i.e. gender, minorities and other excluded people/ groups in all above.

5 Needed support from ILO
Capacity building of TU by, training of trainers and knowledge initiatives to match changing world situations. extending co-operation in alliance building to share experience and promote solidarity. Influence the member State in the cases of breach of trust/ agreements. Liaison with other UN agencies and human rights organizations in recognizing labour rights violations as human rights violations, (e.g. naming and shaming)
