April 9, 2015 "A Near Zero Solid Waste Strategy" for the Town of Mamaroneck. Columbia’s Capstone team conducted research on solid waste best practices in municipalities across the U.S. and abroad, benchmarked successful programs for waste reduction impact, and performed a cost/benefit analysis on recommended programs to assess feasibility. May 14, 2015 Terry Laibach, Region 3 Recycling Specialist for New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will present on the DEC's "Beyond Waste: Materials Management Plan" and how municipalities can get on a waste diet to help the State meet their waste reduction goals by 2030!
