The repetition of consonant sounds in different words in close proximity. Passed, pressed Shadow, meadow Sipped, tripped

5 What is a Rhyme? A technique used to enhance the sound of poetry.

6 Complete Rhyme Words whose final syllables have the exact same sound.
Cloud Shroud Proud Loud

7 Internal Rhyme Rhymes that occur within the lines. Examples:
I’m a cat who wears a hat. When in the fog, I jog.

8 End Rhymes Rhymes that occur at the end of a line. Example:
Yes it’s true I am a cat When I go out I wear a hat.

9 Partial Rhyme Words whose final consonant sounds almost rhyme.
Examples: Round Brown Shout Plow These sets of words almost rhyme with one another.
