5 Supplementary Fig. 2 Bootstrap internal validation showing the percentage of times, over 150 bootstrap samples, that a cardiac biomarker or CDKN1C has been selected as providing the best improvement of the prediction of the clinical model, based on decreased Akaike information criterion (AIC). The variables included in the clinical model were age, BMI, previous MI, diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, smoking, MI type (STEMI vs NSTEMI), ischemic time, and leucocytes.
