Christianity = Christ + nothing - nothing

Genuine Christ-followers are spiritually connected to Christ alone and live solely in the power of the Spirit for the ultimate glory of God.
6
What we should avoid: Racial or religious pride.

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:12-13
8
What we should avoid: 2) Satisfaction with token good deeds.
“…those evildoers…” Philippians 3:2b
9
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
10
whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7
11
What we should avoid: 3) Going through the “religious motions.”

“’Sir,’ the woman said, ‘I can see that you are a prophet
“’Sir,’ the woman said, ‘I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.’
16
‘Woman,’ Jesus replied, ‘believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth,
17
for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks
for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth,” John 4:19-21,23-24.
18
What we should passionately pursue:
2) Jesus is everything!!!!!! “…who boast in Christ Jesus…” Philippians 2b
19
“This is what the Lord says: ‘Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this; that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24
20
What we should passionately pursue:
3) It’s never about me. “…and who put no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:2c
21
“This is what the Lord says: ‘Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
