SPIRIT OF FEAR John 19:38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. John 20:19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews. John 9:22 His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. John 12:42-43 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

SPIRIT OF FEAR Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe. The FEAR OF MAN is a snare – it is a TRAP! Psalm 118:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Isaiah 51:12 I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

SPIRIT OF FEAR We are to fear GOD, and not man, not the devil, not our circumstances! 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Fear is a SPIRIT It is NOT from GOD If Fear is a spirit, and it is not from God, then it is a satanic spirit! Perfect love casts out all fear

SPIRIT OF FEAR FEAR gives birth to INTIMIDATION!
The goal of intimidation is to make you give up your God-given AUTHORITY! When you give in to fear/intimidation, it causes the gifts of God in you to become dormant and inoperative!

SPIRIT OF FEAR To combat fear/intimidation – you need BOLDNESS! Boldness causes you to lunge forward even in the face of opposition. Boldness comes from the virtues of power, love and soundness of mind (2 Timothy 1:7). True boldness comes from God and is fueled by godly virtue. Acts 4:29-31 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
