3. About Summer Zoo Camp Campers from preschool age - 5th grade
Weekly themes
Daily zoo hikes
Lessons and activities daily

4. What is a Volunteen?
Students between 14 and 17 years of age who will be in grades 9-12 for the school year.
Teens going into 9-10th grade will assist with half day camps
Teens going into 11-12th grade will assist with full day camps
Volunteens work under the supervision of Certified Teachers at Summer Zoo Camp
Prepare activities and materials
Assist campers with activities and zoo trips
Provide one activity during the week
Set up and clean up

Familiarity with other activities and programs at the Zoo
Valuable skills and experience needed to enter college and the work force

New Volunteens will need to provide two letters of reference and brief essay about what makes an excellent volunteer and why they would make a good volunteer
Please bring your two letters of reference and your essay to your on-site interview.
