1. “Graveyard Shift”

2. Halloween night, 1950

3. It was a stormy night.

4. Two Carterville police officers were working the graveyard shift.

5. They received a call to go check out storm damage at a local cemetery.

6. A tree had fallen on a grave.

7. Upon further investigation, they realized a tree limb had penetrated the ground as well as the coffin within.

8. A wrecker with a boom was called to remove the tree.

9. As the tree swung around it hit one of the officers on the arm.

10. The other officer noticed a slimy substance on the cut as well as the tree limb that had been stuck in the ground.

11. It came from the corpse inside the coffin.

12. Later that night the injured officer began to feel a little strange
Later that night the injured officer began to feel a little strange. He was afraid to tell anyone.

13. Several evenings later, the same two officers were working the graveyard shift again.

14. There was a full moon!

15. When they took a dinner break the injured officer ordered his steak raw.

16. Later they made a pit stop at a local park.

17. The injured officer used a fireplug instead.

18. They returned to their squad car...

19. To the surprise of his partner . . .

20. He turned into a werewolf!

21. His partner fired a shot at him.

22. The werewolf ran away into the night.

23. His partner called out a search party.

24. All they could find was his badge.

25. His partner began to carry only silver bullets in his gun in case he saw the werewolf again.

26. The officer was never seen again, but they say on a full moon you can still hear a werewolf howling near the old cemetery.
