Sub-Team Members The current Sub-team members are:

Sub-Team Mandate This sub-team is responsible for:
Recognition of Accreditation Bodies (AB), Certification/Registration Bodies, and auditor approvals for all of the Aerospace AQMS i.e. AS 9100, AS 9110, AS 9120, AS 9003. Review and approval of proposed changes to the auditor qualification criteria.

Report The sub-team is meeting its goal of 5 days for responding to requests for approval of auditors (providing the application package is complete). Work experience per AS9104 and AIR5359 continues to be biggest challenge in auditor approval process. CRBs need to ensure that their applicants understand the requirements of AS9104 and AIR 5359 for obtaining AEA status, especially work experience.

Opportunities/Improvements
The definition of “some aerospace experience” in AIR 5359 para should be clarified in re-write of AIR5359. Clarification will be 2 years aerospace experience in the last 15 years.

Discussed review and concurrence of auditor trainers. Consensus of team is that the team should be involved in the review and concurrence of trainer authentication bodies but not involved in the review and concurrence of trainer approval.
