A Pew Research Center study from 2016 found that 31% of Americans own a gun. Imagine a random survey is taken of 1500 Americans. 1) What is the mean and standard deviation of the sampling distribution of the sample proportions of Americans who own a gun in samples of 1500? 2) Is it reasonable to use a normal approximation for the sampling distribution? 3) Find the probability that a sample proportion is between 0.28 and 0.34.
