6 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FORUM
THE TEAM: Jerri, Lorena, Carlos, Jennifer, Dennis, Ramona, Sara A, Misti, David C, Inbal The Professional Development Forum was designed to tackle the following topics: Define Encompass’ professional development goals Identify on-boarding and ongoing training needs across programs and operations Create a plan to meet onboarding and ongoing training needs Implement on-line training system

7 Encompass Learning The Professional Development forum organized learning and trainings at Encompass into three “buckets”: Agency-wide Training Professional Development Staff Development

8 EncompassLearning Agency Wide Training Staff Development
Agency wide learning incluEncompass for all staff. Examples of Agency Wide learning includes On Boarding and New Employee Orientation training for all new hires HIPAA training for all agency staff. Cultural Diversity Trauma Informed Care Professional Development Professional Development learning is training that directly relates the staff’s role and positon at Encompass. This includes continuing education (CEU) for license requirements. Examples of Professional Development training include: Motivational Interviewing Progress Documentation Trauma Informed Care CBT Staff Development Staff development learning includes training and courses that increase the development and value of the staff as a resource. Examples of Staff Development training include: Microsoft Office Suite Leadership Essentials Time Management Project Planning

9 Developing Training Plans
Input was solicited from all service areas and program managers about the training requirements of their staff. Each program provided a list of trainings, categorizing each as: Required training Best Practice training Good Practice training The data collected was analyzed to determine which trainings were common across the agency and which were within a service area or job family.

10 Agency Wide Training Plan
First priority: Create an agency wide training plan that includes all required training In the next few months staff all across the agency will complete agency wide required training Over the coming months training plans will be developed for each service area, program, job description and role.

13 WHAT IS RELIAS?

14 Relias Learning is an online learning management tool.
Relias has over 450 interactive online courses in behavioral health, child development education and leadership development, including courses for Continuing Education credit Relias allows users and supervisors to track learning, licenses and certifications and due dates and provide reminders for individual learners. Managers and administrators can upload agency and program specific training, learning modules, documents and policies/procedures to an online format for agency wide accessibility and tracking Relias allows the online creation and storage of training plans linked to associated job descriptions, roles and programs Eliminates schedule obstacle

To meet the requirements and goals of agency wide training, professional development and staff development, EncompassLearning will use a combination of: Relias’ online courses Encompass in-person training Blended training modules a combination of the two above

10/2/17 “Welcome to Relias” launched agency wide 10/2-11/30/17 Training plans developed, uploaded to Relias 10/2- 10/31/17 “HIPAA October”; all Encompass staff complete HIPAA refresher
