OLD GLORY RELAY 2017 On 1 November “Old Glory” crossed the Emerald Coast on her way to the HQ of Team RWB (Tampa, Florida) arriving on Veterans Day into the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Arena START A CHAPTER Through our Chapter and Community Program we engage our members in several ways. Our chapters deliver local, consistent, and inclusive opportunities for veterans and the community to connect through physical and social activity. They host regular fitness activities, social gatherings and community service events, and facilitate building strong local connections with members and organizations within the community. Local / Consistent Exercise Events The bread and butter of our chapters—these events provide consistent (weekly / biweekly / monthly) opportunities for members to spend time together and engage in some type of exercise. These activities are varied by time, type and geography, and may take the form of cycling, running, functional fitness, yoga and many other group activities. Local Races / Athletic Events There are opportunities for members to meet and participate in local athletic events such as 5K races / mud runs / relays. These events occur at least once per quarter and are great for team-building, connection with the community and creating a sense of shared accomplishment. Social Events These events are often conducted in concert with a physical fitness event, such as a post-race picnic. However, they are sometimes purely social in nature, such as attending a local sporting game or gathering for a barbecue. Social events are great ways to involve families and to provide a no / low pressure access point to our Team. Community Service Events These events provide opportunities for members to serve their community in a way that aligns with our mission, often centered on veterans or physical fitness / athletics. These events are inclusive, team-focused, and fulfilling for all involved and may take the form of volunteering at a veteran’s homeless shelter, participating in a local Special Olympics event, or handing out water and drinks at a local race. Eagle Engagement Some of the most important interactions that take place in our organization, these one-on-one or small group gatherings allow veteran / community members to experience physical, social, and community activities without necessarily having to participate with a large group. Eagle Engagements are great ways to build genuine relationships with others in the community!

TEAM RWB - Pensacola Glenn Parker, Captain Laura Johnson, Community Outreach
Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity: Health People Purpose 210: Total number of Chapters (States & Overseas) 292,619: Total number of Veteran and Civilian Interactions (2017) 167,618: Total hours (2017) volunteered at community service events TEAM RWB MISSION To enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. We define enrichment as creating quality relationships and experiences that contribute to life satisfaction and overall well-being. The concept of enrichment consists of three core components—health, people, and purpose—that comprise a rich life. Health: Creating frequent opportunities for team members to connect through fitness, sports, and recreation to improve physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. People: Creating authentic connections (defined as genuine, quality, supportive relationships that generate mutual trust and accountability), reflected in an increased number of close relationships and improvements in teammates’ sense of belonging, purpose, and community engagement. Purpose: Engaging members in meaningful team and community-based experiences such as leadership and service that, beyond physical and social activities, renew self-identity and purpose in life. We accomplish our mission via our two core programs: our Chapter and Community Program and our Eagle Leadership Development Program.
