UNICEF assembly: the service project that runs next week through Nov. 2nd.
We started the week with a visit from the Berwyn Fire Company. They talked with us about fire safety and showed us their special firefighting gear! They let us go inside their truck and when they left, they turned on their lights and siren for us! It was a really special visit!
This was also our Pumpkin Week! We read some great books about pumpkins and learned about the lifecycle of these seasonal favorites. Today’s Pumpkin Extravaganza was a blast! The children measured, estimated, counted and weighed some gorgeous pumpkins! Thank you to all of the parents who donated the pumpkins and who donated their time to help run the math stations. It was the perfect end to our pumpkin unit! Please me if you would like to pick up any pumpkin donations you made.
Next week we will talk more about fall favorites: changing leaves, making jack-o-lanterns, and getting ready for Halloween. We will also continue with our alphabet study, numbers and patterns, and color words.
