The Finnish Library Association is a non-profit and politically independent association. We are advocating for public libraries and supporting the library profession. We act on the national and international level.

Who are we? ▪ Finnish Library Association was founded 1910
▪ Around 2000 members, mostly personal members ▪ Board: 8 persons selected ▪ Politician as a president Silvia Modig, director Rauha Maarno ▪ Topical working groups for members: youth librarians, mobile libraries etc. ▪ Office: 4 full time employees
