Is there enough information for your research needs? Does the information fit with what I already know?

Who is the Author? Look for an author’s name
Look for credentials – proof that they know what they are talking about Look for contact information Who published it? Government University Corporation Organization

Why was it written? To provide facts/information? To sell a product?
To convince you about an idea? *****check for words that indicate bias or opinion*****

When was it written? Some topics need up to date information
For other topics, the date is less important – look for it anyways
