Capitalism This is the economic system used in the US and most of the world today.

Prior Knowledge? Capital – just a fancy way of saying money that you have and are willing to invest in a company Invest – when you give a company capital in exchange for a piece of that company. Stock – the piece of the company you own when you invest in it. Entrepreneurs – people who have capital and are willing to risk it to make more money.

Capitalism Economic system – it is a way of handling a country’s production and distribution of goods. In Capitalism, individuals risk their own money to run companies that produce goods/services. In Capitalism, individuals spend their own money to buy those goods.

Capitalism Capitalism can be defined as
An economic system run by greed but controlled by competition where individuals make the decisions and own the property.

Rules Each team has $10,000 You can buy stock (a piece of a company), in any of the companies that I am about to show you. Each stock costs $1,000 and will give you 10% ownership of the company. Your goal is to make the most money possible.
