ELA: Dudley/Burns Homeroom: We will continue the novel, Code Talker. Students have been given the vocabulary for the book. Please study the vocabulary for the test. Test Chapters on Thursday. Marrero Homeroom: Biography Study- Rosa Parks. Students have vocabulary to study for the test on Friday.. 2nd Nine Week Language Skills: correlative conjunctions, reference materials (print and digital), synonyms/antonyms/homophones, comma rules for introductory elements, yes/no, tag questions, and direct address Writing Focus: Informational SCHEDULE: MONDAY: ELA County Test TUESDAY: WWII Social Studies Test WEDNESDAY: THURSDAY: Dudley/Burns Reading Test Code Talker Ch 15-29/ Unit 4A Math Test FRIDAY: Marrero Reading Test “Dear Mrs. Parks” **Remember Christmas Party donations due Friday. Math: This week we will review adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. Students will take the Unit 4A test on Thursday, December 13th. Please remember that students do not have to simplify fractions in 5th grade. This is a skill we will work on later in the year to prepare for middle school. SCIENCE: We will be reviewing Earth Science concepts this week. Students will complete a performance assessment in class this week where they will create a 3 dimensional landform and write an essay. This is an in-class assignment and all material will be provided. SS: We will finish up our unit on WWII. Unit 4 assessment will be on December 11th. Students will also be given class time to complete a Holocaust activity.
