1 Wire Stripping and Crimping
A beginners guide

2 Tools needed to Strip a Wire
There are many types of wire strippers. This is the one I use.

3 Place about 1 cm of the wire in the correct slot.
Close the tool, and pull down and away from your wire. the tool will do the rest.

4 You should have about 6 mm of exposed copper cable
Throw out the plastic part that you have striped from your wire. You should now have something that looks like this: You should have about 6 mm of exposed copper cable

5 A Male Crimp pin This part will grab the plastic part of the wire
(Crimp legs) This part will grab the plastic part of the wire Push your stripped wire to the end of the pin

6 Push the stripped cable into the male pin
Interface Wire Push the stripped cable into the male pin Stripped Wire Male Pin

7 Crimping the cable Place the cable with the crimp pin into the crimping tool. Gently squeeze the crimping tool until the pin bites(crimps) to the plastic part of the wire.

8 Rotate the wire and crimp again

9 Make sure that where the crimp pin meets the wire is circular.
If not, continue to turn the pin, and crimp again.

10 Notice how the crimp is circular

11 Final Step Once the pin is properly crimped you may now use it.
