Student Transportation Services – History
Current services are being provided by Durham School Services In 2001, Northwest ISD began utilizing contracted services for Student Transportation In 2011, Northwest ISD solicited proposals and the Board of Trustees awarded a five year agreement (renewed annually) to Durham School Services Now, in 2016, the five year agreement is ending

Request for Proposals 2016 – Goals
To reflect the change in size and scope since 2011 To continue with 2-Tier Bus schedule To provide Northwest ISD with a standard, current fleet that will meet the growing needs of the district To establish a contract with the framework to accommodate a rapidly growing district To establish performance measures for number of drivers, and on-time performance

Request for Proposals 2016 RFP # for Student Transportation Services was issued February 25, 2016 A Pre-Bid meeting occurred on March 7, 2016 The RFP closed on March 22, 2016 District administration has been evaluating the responses received, scoring them against the criteria and weights that were listed in the RFP

Currently, clarification of terms and conditions and negotiations are being conducted A recommendation for award will be brought to the April 25, 2016 Board of Trustees meeting End Result will be a contract established for NISD students to be safely delivered, on time
