2 BASIC DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
VISION TEST: 20/50 VISION WITH OR WITHOUT CORRECTIVE LENSES WRITTEN REQUIREMENT: 80% (40 OF THE 50 QUESTIONS MUST BE ANSWERED CORRECTLY)

3 VISION 90% OF YOUR DECISIONS ARE BASED ON WHAT YOU SEE
VISUAL ACUITY – ability to see clearly FIELD OF VISION – see ahead & to your right and left AREA OF CENTRAL VISION – clearest in a narrow beam directly in front of you PERIPHERAL VISION – angles to the right and left

4 VISION (cont’d) DEPTH PERCEPTION – gives 3-dimensional perspective to objects DISTANCE JUDGMENT – estimating distance between yourself and an object COLOR BLINDNESS – unable to tell the difference between red & green, blue & yellow

5 TEST VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE A VALID PERMIT & BE ACCOMPANIED BY A LICENSED DRIVER VALID INSPECTION STICKER VALID REGISTRATION VALID INSURANCE CARD

6 VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROAD TEST
VEHICLE MAY NOT HAVE ANY OBSTRUCTIONS OR CONSOLES THAT PREVENT THE EXAMINER FROM REACHING THE FOOT OR PARKING BRAKE

7 ROAD TEST OFF- ROAD TEST AREA OR ON A PUBLIC ROAD COURSE
MAKE CERTAIN YOU UNDERSTAND THE RULES OF THE ROAD AND CAN DRIVE SAFELY IF YOU FAIL THE ROAD TEST – YOU MUST WAIT 2 WEEKS BEFORE TAKING THE TEST AGAIN
