Window Components Description Control panel
Allow user to view and change basic system setting & control, such as adding hardware, adding and removing software. Device manager Allows the user to display and control the hardware attached to the computer. Disk defragmentation Rearrange files stored on a hard disk Window explorer Provides an interface for accessing the file system, launching application etc. Start menu Allow user to launch an installed application. taskbar The bar at the bottom of the screen is called taskbar. It is used to launch &monitor applications.

Features of Window The desktop is the background of the window.
It contains a set of icons, files, folders, etc. It has a bar at the bottom of the screen known as taskbar. Taskbar has some icons to launch programs easily. The taskbar has start button. It has date and time at bottom right on the screen, we can easily change the date and time. It has the notification area that provides some additional information. We can change the display of the desktop . The screen resolution can be change using desktop display settings.

MS DOS: MS DOS stands for Microsoft disk operating system. It is a character user interface in which there is no graphical devices like mousse. MS DOS uses 2 type of command Internal command External command.
