Deity of the Holy Spirit I. Attributes of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is a member of the Trinity. Not “an active force” or “magnetism.” Religions such as Islam and Unitarianism reject the Trinity/Holy Spirit concept because it conflicts with their ideas about Monotheism. The bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is a part of God, not a tool of God. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)
