Process oriented & methodical, don’t tend to shoot from the hip Very loyal & optimistic Prefer formality Strong work ethic, “workaholic” coined to describe this generation

Born , 19 – 30 years old Technically savvy - grown up with , instant messaging, cell phones “the Tethered Generation” perpetually connected to parents, family, friends Multi-tasking is natural mode of operation Enormous consumers of information

Adept at global & diversity issues due to on-line networking Team oriented Very social & civically minded Searching for personal fulfillment Motivated by opportunities to learn new skills

Facts & Thoughts 7-8 year overlap between each generation
Individuals on the cusp may identify with both generations 13% of population is 65 & older By 2030, 20% of Americans will be over 65 (app. 70 million) Currently 85 & older is the fastest growing segment

PEO is a mix of all these generations
Each brings unique qualities & strengths The interplay of these generations may challenge & stretch the goals & growth of PEO as we learn to work together with individuals who many times come from very different generational experiences, needs & desires.
