2. FOR EXPORTING – 2 SECONDS OF BLACK
Open project
FILE>NEW>BLACK VIDEO
CREATE TWO SECONDS OF BLACK
Place black at the beginning and end of movie

3. FOR EXPORTING - 2 SECONDS OF BARS AND TONE
FILE>NEW>BARS AND TONE
CREATE TWO SECONDS OF BARS AND TONE
Place Bars and Tone at the beginning (only) of movie

4. FOR EXPORTING - SLATE FILE>NEW>LEGACY TITLE
CREATE A SLATE (title) with the following information:
TITLE OF PROJECT
PRODUCTION COMPANY
NAMES OF GROUP MEMBERS
EDITED BY: [EDITOR’S NAME]
TRT: [four digits]
TRT is Total Run Time; it is four digits 0045; 1015; 2025
Place the slate on layer ABOVE the Bars and Tone
Trim slate to same length as Bars and Tone (2 seconds)

5. Exporting your projects
In sequence/timeline: make sure the RENDER BAR is over your whole project.
Make sure the “grabby” things at the beginning and end of the Render Bar are at the beginning and end of what you want to export.
If it’s too long or too short you will only export what the Render Bar is over.

Make sure you have clicked in/on sequence/timeline so it is outlined in BLUE.

FILE>EXPORT>MEDIA

Format: H.264

Output Name: click the BLUE “sequence 01.mp4”
If you’ve named your timeline, the name will appear here

10. Exporting your projects
Output Name: click the yellow “sequence 01.mp4”
Navigate to: DESKTOP> FINAL PROJECTS>PERIOD___>YOUR FOLDER

Name the project: MOVIE/MUSIC VIDEO/PACKAGE-TITLE-PROD CO-TRT

Click “Export”
