11 Collect your equipment You will need: 1 small beaker with water splints Bunsen burner Heat proof mats

12 Take a splint out of the water Dip it into the chemical - note which one Hold it in a blue bunsen burner flame (remember – never leave a blue flame unattended, put it onto orange) Put it out on the spare heatproof mat (don’t blow things out when using bunsen burners) On your worksheet – note the colour of the flame
