Student attribute survey Teacher: Please read proctor instruction and scrip. Lets get started with the student attribute survey. PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR PHONE AND GO TO THE FERRIS WEBSITE OR USE THE WEB ADDRESS BELOW.  This survey will take about 20 minutes to complete.

8 Experience Use the term "experience" Full and part-time jobs
What is considered experience? Full and part-time jobs Self-employment Volunteer work Internship Information to include Job Title Dates of employment Company name City & State

9 Listing Responsibilities
Use bullet points Start of each line with an action verb Present tense if currently employed Past tense if no longer employed Vary your choice of verbs Tailor skills and experiences to the position for which you are applying Be concise while providing enough detail

Rank order by importance to the career objective Spell out the awards name: Do not use abbreviations or acronyms

Use #, %, $ amounts Keep resume easy to read Keep resume about one page

13 Resume Don’ts Do not use the pronouns such as I, me, my, etc.
Do not include references Do not clutter your resume with nonessential information Do not make any misrepresentations Do not include personal information SSN, age, sex, height, weight, photograph, etc.

16 When you are logged into SchooLinks… Click on the briefcase on the left side.  This will take you to the Internship and Volunteer opportunities page where you can personalize your search by your interest.
