Meeting objectives … are to exchange information on:
air quality policy developments recent international activities AQ e-Reporting 2017 reporting round, and availability of new data viewers air quality assessment studies at the European scale and in selected EEA member countries … and to strengthen Eionet networking and cooperation.

European Topic Centre on Air Pollution and Climate Change Mitigation (ETC/ACM)
A consortium of 14 European organisations, under contract to EEA. 2017-2018: ETC review process and call for new ETCs
The current ETC/ACM contract finishes at the end of 2018. A ‘topic review’ is performed by EEA before calls for new ETC consortia are published. The topic reviews identify areas of where new/changed support is required as a result of changes in EEA priorities, EU legislation etc. New ETCs are currently planned to be contracted for 2 years + 1 year extension i.e. from

2017 ETC review and new procurement
Timeline: By autumn 2017: Topic reviews performed, and proposals for new ETCs, including draft Terms of Reference submitted to EEA’s Management Board Dec 2017: EEA’s Management Board is requested to adopt the revised ETC Terms of Reference Jan 2018: Launch of calls for new ETC consortia – EEA website April 2018: Close of calls April-May 2018: Evaluation of proposals June 2018: MB decision on the new ETCs Jan 2019: New ETCs start activities

EEA/Eionet 5-yearly evaluation
In , the recent activities of EEA/Eionet will be reviewed This is the 5 yearly evaluation of whether the EEA & Eionet are ‘fit for purpose’ A public consultation will be held in second half of Specific Eionet input will also be requested for the consultation. The evaluation is coordinated by the European Commission (DG ENV – COWI consortium), following its Regulatory Fitness ‘refit’ approach: Effectiveness Efficiency Coherence Relevance EU added value
