1 Meeting of the Steering Group on Simulation State-of-play of SGS Activities TU-Graz, 21 October 2014
Biagio Ciuffo Georgios Fontaras Alessandro Marotta Stefanos Tsiakmakis JRC

2 Agenda Next SGS meetings Update on LAT, JRC, complementary studies
A Walkthorugh in the Compas meta-model Stress-test and Sensitivity Analysis of Compas Feedbacks on the two meta-models Brief overview/update on the Toyota Auris Hybrid Overview of technology modelling at LAT Simulation plan: Application of a first set of technologies on a number of vehicles (LAT) Data correction issue: the case of the BMW 328xiA Feedback on PSA proposal for automatic GB AOB

3 Next SGS meeting and minutes
Face-to-face meeting b2b with EU-WLTP in Brussels (November 10th) Nov. 10 Afternoon Nov. 10 Afternoon + Nov. 11 Morning

4 Update on LAT work – M1

5 Update on LAT work – M1

6 JRC testing activities
Completed tests Audi A4, Volvo V40, Fiat 500, Fiat Punto, AR Giulietta, Honda CR-Z On-going/scheduled tests Toyota Prius Possible additional tests Iveco Daily (CWs 45-47), Mazda 3 (D, MT, Sky-active technology) (CW ), VW Passat (tbd) FIAT tests Completed for all 5 vehicles Results already discussed for 3 (Punto, 500, and Giulietta) with JRC cross-comparison carried out for all of them

7 Complementary studies
Germany.

8 Complementary studies
France. We expected to have the first results already delivered. In any case they are validation tests and therefore their delay does not represent a bottleneck for the project

9 Complementary studies
The Netherlands The Daimler Sprinter EU6 will be tested by TNO around CW 44 Daimler will provide the vehicle and the necessary inputs

10 Complementary studies
UK Vehicle 1: Diesel Ford Transit Connect (Class II LCV) Already Tested Vehicle 2: Jaguar F-type, 3 litre gasoline, supercharged engine with GDI. Being tested Vehicle 3 (confirmed): Diesel Ford Transit Class III, 3.5 tonne GVW. SWB or MWB Ford Transit with a 2.2 litre CR TC I4 DSL 125 PS engine

11 Complementary studies
Sweden. Complementary study on-going Any update on the possibility to test 1 N1 vehicle at the beginning of next year?

12 Data-flow Assumptions
No engine-map data are shared (but the actual OEM map is used in the Cruise model) No instantaneous fuel consumption data are shared Realistic masses and RLs are used in the simulation plan for the segment (LAT and OEMs can support in defining the values to use) JRC/TUG receive the following data from LAT (both from hot- and cold-start simulations) (AGREED in the SGS) Instantaneous vehicle speed Instantaneous engine power at wheels (air-, rolling resistance + acceleration power) Instantaneous power demand of auxiliaries (or the constant value if not varied over cycle) Instantaneous engine speed from engine Fuel consumption and torque per test phase.
