Writing proper letter formation (top to bottom)
proper spacing between words correct use of upper and lowercase letters in sentences correct use of punctuation writing complete sentences using descriptive words proper sequencing of events in story writing 5 or more sentences on one topic Spelling increasing amount of level appropriate words

Technology Students will use ipads, laptops, and the promethean board
We will use: Reflex Math Raz-Kids Pebblego Brainpopjr.

Homework Homework will begin with a nightly reading log and sight word practice. Homework will change throughout the year. Please check the blog weekly for any changes and updates.

Behavior Expectations
Positive Reward System: Punch Cards Choice of Reward Popsicle sticks for individual behavior: 5 sticks, reset each week Lunch Bunch – Tuesdays Loose sticks for missing homework and poor classroom choices

Folders Blue Cub Folder
Daily Communication Folder – goes home and back to school daily. Student’s responsibility. All graded papers will be sent home in this folder on Tuesdays. Please review graded papers with your child. Important papers from the office and PTA go home on Tuesday Green Folder - Save Folder Kept at school in student desk. Students place any unfinished work into their green folders to be completed later.

Important Info Please send in a note if your child:
*is absent *is leaving early *has an appointment *has a transportation change Please do not me changes in transportation. *When picking up your child from school early you must sign them out from the office. Our Lunch time is 10:45–11:15. Please sign in at the office and wait at the cafeteria If you send in lunch money, please put your child’s name, room number and the amount on the envelope or check.

Volunteer Information
Upcoming Events *Field Trip to Meadow Farm – October 26 *Parent Teacher Conferences - November 5 (3-6:30) and November 6 (student holiday/during the day). You will receive a signup genius to schedule a time. Volunteer Information All parents who wish to volunteer in the classroom or on a field trip must have a completed volunteer form on file in the office. All visitors to the school must sign in at the office before coming into the classroom.
