Challenges- A demanding or stimulating situation that required close scrutiny by the RRT. Challenges with an interagency or intergovernmental component would be most helpful. Lessons Learned- Derived from a problem that you encountered through an incident or exercise. Best Practices- An institutionalized process that was derived from a lesson learned and can be applied to other situations or incidents. Executive Summary Slide: This is an optional slide, but if you come across information that RRT and other FOSCs would benefit from, then please add and submit. This info will also go into the Annual Report. Unit opportunity to present information to RRT and eventually NRT on Challenges/Lessons Learned/Best practices that could use improvement/or just shared. -How can the RRT assist YOU with regional planning & preparedness (40 CFR ) -RRT should take FORAC -Help us help you at the Unit Level

Accomplishments Exercises/Workshops Training Description Dates Description Dates Fed/State/Local planning and coordination efforts TRAINING: 06-10NOV17: Oil Spill Control Course: MST3 Angotti attended, Corpus Christi, TX. 12-14FEB18: FOSCR College: attended by 14 personnel from AOR-wide. The course focused on the ‘federalized’ process of a pollution case, from start to finish. 15-23FEB18: Exposure Training: Sector UMR reserve IMD member spent eight days at a ‘feeder’ port (Sector SF) to gain valuable experience and PQS signoffs towards his FOSCR certification. EXERCISES/WORKSHOPS: JUN17: Clean Waterways Conference: MSTC Ehlers & MST2 Sharp attended, Louisville, KY. 04-08DEC18: Clean Gulf Conference: LTJG Schmitt attended, Houston, TX. UMR Spills Group Notification Drills- Sector UMR (including MSDs) incorporated the drill within ALL scheduled AOR-wide GIUEs. 27-28FEB18: SOHV Response Workshop: LTJG Schmitt attended, Louisville, KY. Topics covered included EPA MOA review, IMSS training, and joint exercise participation. FED/STATE/LOCAL PLANNING AND COORDINATION EFFORTS: 07JUL17: SUMR Change of Command: New Sector Commander, CAPT Scott Stoermer. 15-16NOV17: UMR Spills Group Meeting: LTJG Schmitt attended, Moline, IL. Focused on SCAT team’s roles/responsibilities when operating in the river environment. EXERCISES/WORKSHOPS: 04-06APR18: Clean Waterways Conference, attended by: CAPT Stoermer, LTJG Schmitt, MST2 Holste, and MST3 Angotti (St. Louis, MO). 17-21SEP18: EPA Reg. 6&7 FSE, focusing on major flood with a pipeline discharge. Sector UMR ENF & IMD personnel fulfilling roles as FOSCR, ICS positions and Safety Boat. FY18: MSDs planning to conduct (3) GIUEs in the next (6) months, these exercises will include the UMR Spills Group Notification Drill for the applicable area.
