The water cycle is the continuous process by which water moves from Earth’s surface to the atmosphere and back, driven by the energy from the sun and gravity.

3. What are the steps of the water cycle?
Evaporation- the process by which molecules at the surface of a liquid absorb enough energy to change to a gas
Condensation- the change of state from a gas to a liquid
Precipitation- any form of water that falls from clouds and reaches Earth’s surface as rain, snow, sleet or hail
Runoff- precipitation that runs off the surface into streams and lakes
