www. cbp.gov/ace What is the ACE Secure Data Portal Free, web-based access point designed to connect CBP, trade partners and Partner Government Agencies.  Access to more than 400 reports Evaluate compliance and monitor daily operations status Submit truck import manifests Monitor data submitted to CBP  How do I obtain an account? Companies who wish to establish an account must submit an ACE portal application located on the Using the ACE Secure Data Portal page of CBP.gov Where can I find assistance completing the ACE application? 5 ACE Secure Data Portal Website
www. cbp.gov/ace  The URL for the ACE Secure Data Portal is  Please ensure to enter your password correctly. The User ID is case sensitive. The user ID is not. If the password is entered incorrectly three times, access to the ACE portal will become disabled. If you forget your password, you can type your user ID and click on the “Forgot Your Password” link. The system will ask you to answer three of the five challenge questions setup initially in the account and, then the system will send you a Retrieve Password with a link. You will need to enter your shared secret. Another important reminder, please log into the ACE Portal once every 45 days to keep your account active. Then every 90 days, your password will expire and the system will ask you to change it. Always use new password when changing your password. After resetting your password, please ensure to close all browsers before logging in with the new password. For assistance reactivating your ACE Portal account, you may call

7 Entry Summary CBP Forms
Management of CBP Forms 28, 29, 4647 “Documents required” status messages received via ABI: UC1 – Electronic invoice UC2 – Entry summary package UC3 – Other specific document Importer ACE Portal Accounts receive the CBP Forms 28, 29, 4647 and not the Brokers. Importers designate within their ACE Portal Account that they wish to receive CBP forms electronically through the ACE Portal. When import or entry specialists are reviewing entry summaries through the validation activity, they have the option to initiate a CBP Form Action which sends the form to the ACE Portal account.

8 Uploading Documents Step 1: Click on Upload Documents
Step 2: Enter the Action # from the ABI UC2 or UC3 Message Step 3: Browse the File, Attach the File and Click on Save Users will need to enter an Action # provided with the ABI UC2 (Entry Summary Package) or UC3 (Special document) message when uploading documents. Individual attachment size cannot exceed 20 MB. 10 Blanket Declarations for ACE Entry Summary Filing
Provide Nationwide CBP visibility to: Affidavits of Manufacturer Importer Certifying Statements Non-Reimbursement Blanket Statements (Antidumping/Countervailing Duty) North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Certificates of Origin There are 3 steps to create a declarations. Declarations cannot be deleted, but may be cancelled.

This settings is used to determine how the importer wishes to receive their CBP Forms 28, 29, 4647.

Users will need to subscribe to ISF Progress Reports first receiving ISF Progress Reports. ISF Progress are delivered around the 10th Business day of the following month.

19 Reports Home Tab After launching ACE Reports, users see will see the “Home” and “Documents” tabs on the left-side. On the right-side, users see four links: Applications – This link launches the report tool editor to create customized reports. Preferences – The link opens the system configurations area. Help Menu – This help menu does not provide instructions on running ACE Reports. Log Off – This link closes the ACE Reports tool Search – Allows you to search for a report using the title, field value or keyword Home Tab - Shows a workload view showing recently opened and recently scheduled reports. My Recently Viewed Documents - Displays the ten most recently viewed reports. Both Public Reports and My Favorite reports will display in this box. My Recently Run Reports – Displays the ten most recent scheduled reports instances. # Unread Messages in My Inbox and # Unread Alerts – not used at this time. My Applications – Contains a link to the Web Intelligence Application where you can select a universe and design/create a new customized report.

20 Documents Tab At the top of the Documents tab, users see a menu bar with commands that control the content inside the left and right-side panels and on the right-side you see arrows that allow user to move forward and back a page. As you may have noticed already, the concept of “Public Folders” and “My Favorites” has not changed, but the list has been divided. On the tab’s left-side panel, we see “My Documents,” “Folders,” and “Search” buttons. On the tab’s right-side panel, we see a panel where a list of folders, reports and search results display.

22 Running a Standard ESM – 7068 Entry Summary Report
When a user clicks on a sub-folder or folder name, the content displays on the right panel. This is the first step to run a standard report. A standard report contains pre-established data sets for view. On the left side, we see a page number box and a set of arrows that allow a user to scroll through the list of reports displayed on the right side panel.

23 ESM – 7068 Entry Summary Report Prompts Screen
After a user double-clicks the report title or right-clicks the report title and selects “view”, a box with prompts displays allowing the user to provide criteria for the data query. The red arrowed prompts require user input, while green check marks prompts are pre-defined. Users can click on the Calendar icon to select dates. Some users can click on the date and select a month and a year. After completing the prompts, a user will need to click on “OK.”

24 Standard ESM – 7068 Entry Summary Report
This is the new way reports will display. Notice how the standard report view is in “Reading” mode. ACE Reports viewed in reading mode are primarily read-only, and, thus, limited in functionality. The left-side of the toolbar that is on top of the report contains basic new, open, save, print, commands. The right-side of the tool contains the report view modes: Reading – This is the default view in ACE Reports. This view allows the user to review the report and perform basic commands. Design – This view allows a user to display and manipulate the report. It contains the same view options as reading and additional design tools to manipulate the report. Data – This view shows the structure of the data in the report. On the left pane in Data view mode shows a list of all the data objects in the report. If a user selects an object, a list of all the unique values are displayed for that object in the report. If you need to rerun the report, click on the refresh button at the bottom right-side corner or on the refresh icon on the top menu bar. At times, you may need to scroll through pages because of high volume records in the report, so be aware of the page # arrows or you may use the scroll bar. Also look out for the exclamation point next to the refresh button, this will indicate that partial results exist. If this occurs, narrow down the criteria.

25 Saving, Printing and Exporting a Standard ESM – 7068 Entry Summary Report
After the report is ran and results are generated, a user can save, export or print the report from “Reading” mode. If a user exports a report in “Reading” mode, the only file type s available are .PDF, Excel 2007, Excel (earlier versions) and txt. You may export into CSV from “design mode” under the “Data Access” and “Tools” tab. Excel 2007 can hold 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns (for 2010 and 2013 versions also) Excel 2003 can hold 65,536 rows by 256 columns (for earlier versions also) To save a report, the user clicks on the “Save” icon and a “Save Document” box displays. A user can select the “ACE” button on the left side to save the report to the ACE Reports tool and can select the “My Favorites” or any other user-created folder. If the user selects the “Advanced” button, a user can select an option refresh the report every time it is run or a user can indicate to retain the data on the report. To export a report, the user clicks on the “Save” icon and a “Save Document” box displays. If a user selects “My Desktop,” “My Documents” or “My Computer,” a user can save the report to their computer. The report can be exported in Excel or PDF.

29 Switching to “Design” Mode and Adding Data Objects to the Query Panel
After a user switches to “Design” view mode, a new set of tabs display. The left-side bar contains the following tabs: File – contains options for managing the document file. Properties – contains options for displaying information and modifying the interface. Main Toolbar – contains icons for editing the report The right-side bar contains the following tabs: Report Element – contains tools for adding, removing, and modifying different pieces of the report. Format - contains tools for changing the appearance of the data cells, and tables in a report. Data Access – contains tools for accessing and modifying the query for the report. Analysis – contains tools for viewing, tracking, and manipulating data in a report. Page Setup – contains print setup options for the report. To modify a report, a user can click on the “Data Access” tab and click on “Edit” from the “Data Providers” sub-tab. After clicking on “Edit”, the “Query Panel” displays. Users can search for objects by typing a key word in the search box in the “Universe Outline” panel on the left-hand side or expanding the [+] next to each class and dragging objects to the “Result Objects” panel. The “Results Object” Panel contains all the objects found in the standard report. User can add/remove data objects. The “Query Filter” panel contain reports filters that will be applied to the data query when the report is ran. User’s can add unique filters with conditions, wildcards to restrict returned results, plus add “and/or” and nested query filters. The “Data Preview” panel provides users with a preview of the data generated in the report. Once the “Query Panel” is edited, the user must click on “Run Query.” Depending on the Web Intelligence setting selected, the ACE Reports Query Panel may look slightly different. Terminology: Ad hoc reporting – refers to designing and creating reports for a particular purpose. The ability to edit reports. Query - A request for data from the database. Report -The output of a database query. Filter - A control to limit the amount of data returned in a query. Universe - The top level of the data hierarchy. It is a collection of loosely related data objects, representing all the data available in one query. Class – The second level of the data hierarchy. It is a specific grouping of closely related data elements, represented as a folder within a universe. Sub Class – A sub-folder that organizes objects within a class. Object – The lowest level in the hierarchy. They are the individual data elements or pre-programmed filers available in ACE Reports. Objects are added to the report queries and, subsequently, to the reports themselves. Filter object – Pre-programmed, prompted filters used to limit the data requested for the report. Filter objects are represented by gold funnel icons. Data object – The second level of the data hierarchy. It is a specific grouping of closely related data elements, represented as a folder within a universe. Dimension – Text objects not intended for calculation and represented by blue diamond icons. Measure – Numerical data intended for calculations and are represented by gold ruler icons.

After the user clicks on the “Run Query” button in the “Query Panel, ” the prompts dialogue box displays where the user can enter parameters prior to running the modified report. After the report runs and results display, users can save, export and print from the “File” tab on the left side.

After the report is modified, the user will need to add the data objects to the table.

If a user needs to export a report in the .CSV format from “Design” mode, the user will need to click on the “Data Access” and “Tools” tab. After the report is ran and results are generated, a user can print the report from “Design” Mode.
