2 Key Findings – Turkey The nature of online risk types: The types of risks that stood out for Turkey compared to the global averages included: 1) receiving unwanted sexual content, 2) being called offensive names, and 3) encountering internet hoaxes Our social circles became more risky: Within Turkey, risks from family and friends also increased notably to 27% (+9%), in line with other countries The pain from online risks was significant: Turkish consumers reported above-average levels of severe pain from online risks compared to the rest of the world (33% vs. 28%) Consequences were mixed; positive actions were down: Turkish respondents reported mixed results for consequences and were less likely to say they had lost trust in others online and were more likely to say that their lives became more stressful Millennials and teenage girls were hit hardest by risks: More millennials in Turkey suffered moderate to severe pain from risks comparted to their global peers (73% vs. 60%) More teens asked for help. In Turkey, teens asked for help with online risks from a parent or other trusted adult, but did not match the levels of their global peers (asked for help from a parent: 32% in Turkey vs. 42% globally; asked for help from another adult: 20% in Turkey vs. 28% globally) Small improvement in DCI: Turkey (-1) registered a small gain in DCI and ranks #14 out of the 22 countries surveyed

8 More teens asked for help with online risks
Worldwide, there was a surge in teenagers asking for help with online risks from both a parent (+32 points to 42%) and another adult (+19 points to 28%) In Turkey, teens failed to match those global averages, but still posted noticeable jumps in reaching out to a parent or another adult (sought help from a parent: 32% vs. 42%; sought help from another adult: 20% vs. 28%) Asking parents for help jumped 24 points Asking an adult for help rose 14 points Q12: Have you ever taken any of the following actions after you were treated in an unsafe or uncivil manner online?
