The Holocaust
2
Holocaust Hitler knew European history had deep roots for hatred of Jews so he tapped into that. The Nuremberg Laws deprived Jews of their rights to German citizenship, jobs, and property. Kristallnacht was a night when Nazis attacked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues.
3
Holocaust German Jews were encouraged then forced to emigrate from Germany. America took in 100,000 Jews including Albert Einstein. When they couldn’t emigrate all Jews, they were forced into ghettos.
4
Holocaust Hitler turned to the final solution because he grew impatient waiting for Jews to die from starvation and disease in the ghettos. Genocide is the systematic killing of an entire people. Jews who survived the killing squads were either taken to concentration camps or slave-labor prisons. Six million Jews died during the Holocaust.
