Brandywine Communications 2018 Sales Meeting Cody WY May 15/16 2018
Introducing the M212 Brandywine Communications 2018 Sales Meeting Cody WY May 15/
2
What is the M212? The M212 is a new modular master clock system
It is intended as the replacement for the M210 and M211 series It is derived from the Modular Master Clock system It is still not ready for sale but will be announced in the next 30 days
3
Why build another Modular System?
The MMC is a high end product and costly to produce The M212 is essentially a cost reduced version for commercial markets Feature set is designed to compete with SecureSync S650 at lower cost Some features may make their way back into the MMC
4
Key features 1U chassis LCD display and keypad for IP address setup and basic status Single Master Clock Module 6 output slots Single Power Supply

View 3 Front View Rear View
8
Key “Non-features” We do not want to cannibalize MMC sales, so certain features will never be available on the M212 No redundancy No dual power No dual MCM No Hot Swap Spoofing detection High Performance Rubidium
9
User Interface 40x 2 front panel LCD with 5 way keypad
Basic status IP address setup (needed to talk via web page) Secure Web Browser https// is new baseline requirement for most government systems Simple Network Management Protocol SNMP v1,2c, 3
10
Synchronizing Inputs Multi – GNSS receiver SAASM/M-Code GPS* IRIG B
GPS, GLONASS, Beidou & Galileo ready US Government users can use GPS only Other constellations always include GPS SAASM/M-Code GPS* IRIG B Have Quick/1PPS RS232/422 (via OSM) Optical link from another M212 ( via OSM) * * Planned
11
Available Oscillators
Baseline Oscillator Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) – Holdover is ~1ms/day depending on temperature Optional Oscillators Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) Holdover is ~25µs/day depending on temperature Rubidium Oscillator (Rb) Holdover is ~10µs/day depending on temperature
12
Output Modules Output Module types “Intelligent” “Distribution”
Similar to MMC, configurable and with individual output alarms “Distribution” Signal is generated on MCM and the OSM provides multiple buffered outputs No output alarms
13
Universal O/P 4 outputs Outputs are programmed per connector from the list of outputs BNC or 3 pin connector may be used IRIG Codes Other timing signals IRIG A (2 variants) Have Quick IRIG B (9 variants) BCD (2 variants) IRIG G (2 variants) XR3 IRIG H (1 variant) 2137 1PPS 1PPM
14
NTP Module Carryover from MMC 2 port 100BaseT Supports NTP V3, V4
Supports encryption and authentication
15
Octal Serial Port “Distribution Module” 8 serial ports
All ports have the same message generated on MCM Ports can be link set for RS232 or RS422/485 One port can be configured as a sync input to the M212
16
Distribution Modules Planned
5 MHz 10 MHz 1PPS IRIG B Have Quick/IRIG B DCLS
17
Intelligent Modules Planned(1)
PTP Grand Master /Slave 4 port Module 10 GbE - 1 ea. 1 GbE -3 ea. 1 port will be configurable as a reference input Status: Basic hardware engine to power this is due in next 30 days Customer hardware available this year
18
Intelligent Modules Planned(2)
E1/T1 Module Basic development has been done for HPTS 12 outputs nX8kHz Module
19
