Popsicle Sticks On the provided popsicle stick, write your first and last name (using a marker). Then turn your popsicle stick into your class’ “turn-in” basket. During the notes each day, I will use the popsicle sticks to randomly call on students This helps eliminate awkward silences ☺
7
Name Cards Fold the paper into 3 equal sections
Write your First Name on the paper to make a name card This will help me to learn your names!

Workbooks On the first day of class, students will be given a workbook. This workbook will be used for taking notes (instead of an INB) and will contain most of the worksheets for the year. At the beginning of each class, workbooks will be assessed for completeness and a stamp will be given if the work is complete. If an assignment is not done on time, students will not receive a stamp, but can receive a “late” stamp if they show the completed assignment within 5 days of it being due. LAST 5 MINUTES OF CLASS! Students will turn in their workbooks at the end of each month. They will be assessed for quality and completeness of work and will update student grades accordingly.

Scattergories As a class, we are going to play this game (there’s candy involved!) Everyone needs a blank piece of paper. Write “Round 1” at the top and then number 1-12. Mrs. Stadelman will roll the letter dice, and whichever letter it lands on will be used for the first round. Students will have approximately 60 seconds to complete each of the provided 12 statements (using the selected letter as the first letter of each word).
21
Scattergories If students think of two words for a response(s) that begin with the selected letter, they get double the points for that response. I.e. “Donald Duck” Once the timer goes off, students must flip over their piece of paper. We will go over the results as a class. The person who gets the most responses correct gets candy!
