ADJECTIVE PHRASE Modifies a noun or pronoun in a sentence that is not in its own prepositional phrase.

ADVERB PHRASE Modifies a verb, adjective or adverb in a sentence that is not in its own prepositional phrase.

PREPOSITIONAL PHRASES
Prepositions begin prepositional phrases. The phrase ends with a noun called the object of the preposition. The phrase shows a relationship between a noun or pronoun and some other word in the sentence. Prepositional Phrases add detail to a sentence.

ADVERB PHRASE Answers one of the following questions: How? When?
Where? Why? How long? How often?
