4 Our Teaching Philosophy
As your child’s teachers, we feel our most important role is to provide him or her with feedback and encouragement. In doing so, our ultimate goal is to give your child the self confidence necessary to be successful. We strongly emphasize active learning. Goals: to think critically, to communicate clearly, and to solve problems creatively. We am very enthusiastic about math. It is our sincere hope that some of this enthusiasm will be passed on to your child.

6 Grading Total Points/Percentages
Homework = 2 points per checked assignment Quizzes = points per quiz, at least one per chapter Tests = points, usually one per chapter Midterm & Final Exam = 25% of the 2nd and 4th marking period grades, respectively Extra credit assignments are rarely given and are not worth a substantial amount of points.
