4 AACRAO SPEEDE Committee The focus of SPEEDE is on electronic data exchange and associated technology issues including data standards development and maintenance.

A strong partnership with the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council is essential in fulfilling the SPEEDE mission.

History of SPEEDE and PESC PESC was formed by the AACRAO SPEEDE EDI Coordinator in PESC partnered with the SPEEDE Committee for the EDI in Education Conferences held in October from 1998 through 2002

History of SPEEDE and PESC (cont.) PESC partnered with the AACRAO Technology Conference which “morphed” from the EDI in Education Conference in October When ATC moved to July, PESC continued the October Member meeting and Workgroup Summit and SPEEDE joined in

Partners with the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council, by participating the: PESC Annual Technology Conference PESC Workgroup Summits PESC Workgroup Conference Calls

Major projects … XML College Transcript Schema NOTE Higher education institutions in Georgia have sent over 500 XML transcripts through the Texas Internet (SPEEDE) server as of March 2007

Major projects … Implementation of the High XML High School Transcript Schema NOTE Ontario High Schools (only three school boards) have transmitted over 2500 XML transcripts through the OCAS hub since their pilot began in November 2006.
